Displacement vs. Flower: The same pattern on two adjacent wallpaper strips is not at the same height, and the amount of displacement is the amount of misalignment indicated on the label sheet. First trim the first wallpaper strip according to the wall height plus margin, and when cropping the second strip, first align the pattern with the same pattern on the first strip to determine a fiducial point and position the fiducial point from the fiducial point. Blending glue
Mixing glue requires a plastic tube (preferably with a scale) and a stirring bar. Add the appropriate amount of cold water according to the instructions on the powder package. Stir the water in one direction with a stirring stick and keep it in motion. In the state, continue to stir, and gradually add the powder to the water until the glue is in a uniform state.
In principle, the heavier the wallpaper is, the smaller the amount of water added to the glue should be. According to the manufacturer's instructions on the powder packaging box, be sure to use clean cold water. Do not use warm water or hot water, or the glue will clump and cannot Mix well. The already mixed slurry can be diluted by adding water, and if the slurry is too thin, adding the powder in the stirred slurry will cause agglomeration and no further stirring. The glue should not be too thin, and the amount of glue should not be too thick, otherwise the glue can easily overflow from the seam and affect the quality of the paste.
Wallpaper glue
The non-woven fiber-backed wallpaper can be used to glue the glue on the back of the wallpaper, and the glue can be directly rolled on the wall surface. For other types of wallpapers, the glue must be applied to the back of the wallpaper. In order to ensure the construction quality as much as possible using a glue machine. If you use manual gluing, pay attention to the uniformity of the glue, and try to avoid spilling glue onto the surface of the wallpaper.
Wallpaper dipping
The correct dipping time plays a very important role in the final paste effect. After dipping, the wallpaper will swell 1% to 2% in the length direction and 1 centimeter in the width direction. Improper dipping time will cause the wallpaper to have bubbles, wrinkles, cracks in the joints, or dislocation of the pattern. Non-woven fiber-backed wallpaper can be pasted directly without using glue. Different wallpapers based on plain paper, such as pure paper wallpaper, glued wallpaper, and foamed wallpaper, need to be dipped for 8-10 minutes after the glue is applied. All the tapes must have the same dipped time. The specific operation is as follows:
First, the glued wallpaper is folded in half. The upper half of the tape is folded in 2/3, and the center of the tape in the lower half of the tape is folded in 1/3. The right and left edges of the tape must be aligned during folding. After folding, use the fingers to gently knead the left and right edges of the tape to avoid opening. Otherwise, the glue on the edge of the tape will dry and cause cracking in the seam.
The folded one-third of the fold is then folded back into the center and rolled into a tube. Avoid wallpaper crashes during folding and scrolling.
Paste wallpaper
The paste of the wallpaper is usually started from the window area. When pasting the first tape of each wall, be sure to draw a vertical line with a ruler or a plumb. After affixing the wallpaper to the wall, use wallpaper special rollers to roll out the bubbles in the same direction. Do not force the slurry out of the edge of the tape and spill it on the surface of the wallpaper. Use a scraper near the roof and the ground. Scrape, drive out the air bubbles and keep the wallpaper against the wall for a final cut. Do not use a scraper to scrape large areas on the wallpaper so as not to damage the surface of the wallpaper or to push part of the glue out of the edge of the wallpaper and spill it on the surface of the wallpaper, thus causing the wallpaper to be stuck loosely, cracks and dirt on the joints, etc. phenomenon.
The seams at the edges of the two left and right tapes need to be rolled with beveled seam pressure rollers so that the wallpaper will be firmly bonded and the seams will not crack. If you accidentally spill the glue on the surface of the wallpaper, be sure to wipe it off with damp sponge immediately. Do not apply it back and forth. Otherwise, the wallpaper will leave a trace of white.
