In the 1980s, Zhang Zhongming operated stone in Yanji. Cutting knives requires tools, and Zhang Zhongming has established contacts with two diamond sawmills in Shanghai and Beijing. Due to various reasons such as the failure of local supporting facilities and the poor security situation, coupled with the preferential policies of the coastal areas and the relaxed environment, a large number of Yansha owners have developed in Guangdong, Fujian and Shandong. By the year 2000, there were only 10 diamond tool companies left in the decline of Yanji.
