Cool Concept Floating City Achieve self-sufficiency to move at sea

Whether in science fiction movies or real life, we have discussed the future of the city numerous times. Although no conclusions have been made so far, most people believe that the city of the future should be environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and self-sufficient.

Recently, French designer Jacques Rougerie gathered most of the future city elements, plus his own huge imagination, launched the ultra-cool Ray-shaped floating city concept.

In an interview, Master Jacques Rougerie spoke of his passion for the sea and introduced "mérien" to everyone. Mérien is a word invented by Master Rouguerie, which means "belonging to the sea."

In the concept, Mérien has a total area of 3,000 feet in the entire city, of which 1600 feet is house building. These house buildings include countless classrooms, laboratories, and living areas that can accommodate 7,000 researchers and students. At the same time Mérien also provides sports and entertainment space. In general, Mérien is completely self-sufficient and can guarantee to float in the ocean without wasting any resources.

But so far, the floating city called Mérien is just an ambitious and uncertain project. But its creator, 70-year-old Rougerie, still hopes to inspire the younger generation, hoping that one day it will eventually come true.
