7.4 Results of use
Two months later, the repaired new bearing was handed over to the grinding roller workshop. The bearing raceway was completely ground, and all the rolling elements were replaced. The clearance was adjusted to restore the accuracy requirements of the new bearing. See Figure 5.

After the strict inspection by the bearing maintenance personnel, the bearing is fitted into the bearing housing and assembled for use. After 6 months of use, the disassembly inspection revealed that the bearing surface and accuracy index were good, and the bearing was installed again. As of November 2009, the bearing is still in operation. The total repair cost of this set of bearings is only about 50% of the purchase of new bearings.
